Talia wasn’t opposed to Charlie waiting in the infirmary, it’s not as if she minded the woman being there, it was just unusual. Especially given that the infirmary housed at least a handful of flu cases, and those that hadn’t caught the illness were keeping their distance. Talia could consider herself lucky that she hadn’t picked it up yet, and hopefully wouldn’t at all.
“You can stay, I don’t mind,” she told the woman, smiling, because she got the feeling that she’d somehow made Charlie uncomfortable, be it her approach or the way she’d told her that her siblings weren’t present, and that hadn’t been her intention.
“Dr. Talia Suresh,” she responded, taking the outreached hand and shaking firmly. It wasn’t often that she introduced herself so formally, but on occasion –most often in the infirmary- she did. “It’s nice to meet you, Charlie.”
