With a surprised and wide-eyed look Ledger looked up at the adult he had ran into. He didn’t recognize her, but being a friendly kid his expression was pleasant, albeit surprised. “Hi,” he greeted the girl, brown eyes still almost as big as saucers. “I dunno, and my daddy’s gone,” Ledger’s answer was very vague with the sort of details a child would give.
The little boy took a step back before continuing. “My momma was taking pictures and I walked away from her,” there wasn’t any kind of panic in his voice. Because as usual he was certain his mom would find him. Or maybe his Bea-Bea would, ‘cause she was awesome like that.
“And what’s a whatever?” In true three-year-old fashion he had jumped to asking questions about what the girl had said, not at all focused on the fact he was utterly lost and without is mom. As he question the girl, Tipsy came bouncing back over to circle around them where they stood, the tiny dog turning to bark at the girl as if he might be some kind of threat to his little master – granted a five point dog was about as threatening as a stuff animal.
