Leah smirked as she and Kori continued their sisterly pestering of getting Brandon into cooking. “You're always saying you've got plenty of time on your hands.” That's what he used to say, anyway. Maybe he was busier now; she didn't know. “And anyway, you need a hobby other than drinking with the boys.” She always said that. In truth, as long as he wasn't fighting or otherwise causing trouble, she didn't care what he did with his spare time.
She grinned and nodded her agreement when Kori called Brandon on his weak attempt to hide his mischievous expressions. “Hate to say it – actually, no I don't – but Cupcake is right. You suck at hiding your plotting face now.”
“I wouldn't mind helping out, at least as far as making sure everyone pays attention to the teachers.” Daycare was about the only thing she was helping out with lately anyway. Hearing Brandon's suggestion, Leah shrugged a shoulder. “If Kori and Laura think it would be necessary. Parents might prefer to do the recess and playtime monitoring themselves.” She held off responding to the suggestion of being a gym teacher. Once the baby was born, she wasn't sure she'd want to do much of anything beyond spending time with her kids, at least for the first little while.
She looked to Kori when Brandon asked his question, curious to know who else would be involved and hoping this project wouldn't force her to interact with certain people she didn't want to be around anymore.
