"I'm not going to cook," Brandon said, a final foot down on the topic to both of his sisters. They could convince him to do a lot of things, but he had no desire to learn to cook. When he got back from doing security things at the end of the day, he was exhausted. He didn't feel like cooking; didn't feel like doing anything but calming down and eventually sleeping. "At least not right now." He had plenty of time to learn, anyway.
Brandon moved his mouth in a 'blah, blah, blah' motion as his sisters talked. "Says the ones who are always plotting against me!" he said, effectively calling BS that. "I gotta get my revenge where I can... not that I'd do anything like that..." he added, with a shifty eyed expression and then a not-even-remotely subtle sheepish look. "I definitely wasn't planning anything, so don't get any ideas," he said to both of them. Brandon was still good at bluffing, when they situation called for it. At least, he liked to think that he was. But maybe he wasn't. And either way, this particular situation didn't really call for it. He didn't thik so, anyway.
When Kori kicked him, Brandon scoffed. "Hey!" he shouted, but didn't make any move to retaliate. As usual.
A school. Brandon shrugged. His thoughts on this were probably less important than Leah's or any of the other parents'. "Why don't you help out, Lele? That way you could keep a closer eye on Mari. Even if it's just, like... a gym teacher thing or something. Or maybe a recess monitor, until you could actually be a gym teacher?" he asked. He knew that she had the baby on the way, so the whole gym teacher thing wasn't a good idea for now.
"Who else are you involving?" Brandon asked. He didn't really know how else to get involved in the conversation, since with non-familial kids, he wasn't all that patient, and this conversation was as un-tailored to him as possible.
