Talking about Kori was doing little more than bum Rae out, so she just nodded at his reasoning, because it was definitely sound, and made absolute sense. But she needed a subject change, before she found herself back in the depression she tended to get into. She couldn't help but chuckle at his logic when it came to risk taking, and she laughed a little more when he wagged his eyebrows. “For both of us,” she reasoned. “The best risks in life are dually beneficial,” she added with a half-smile.
It had been a long time since Rae had engaged in casual sex, herself. Granted, not as long as a lot of people; up until she'd met Elliot, she'd been—for lack of a better term—easy. Stripping had told her exactly what she was capable of, as far as getting attention went, and as far as she was concerned, sex was fun. So why disallow yourself to enjoy something fun, just because society distinguished it as taboo? Rae didn't believe in slut-shaming. Sex was a part of life, as simple as that. “I'll make sure to give you a show, then,” she said playfully, wetting her lips and once again resisting the urge to take his hand. “You know how hard it is for me to not even hold your hand right now?” she asked him with a small smirk.
“I know what I said,” she told him as she shrugged a shoulder casually as her hand fell back to her side. “I'm pretty sure that there's nothing you could do with your hands that I wouldn't welcome.” As flirtatious a statement as it was, it was not an understatement. She tugged her lip into her mouth, daring herself to say the next thing that came to her mind. “Besides, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about... you know... things.” Yeah, this was vaguely dangerous territory they were falling into, but resisting something she wanted so much wasn't easy. “Touching's harmless, right?” Or... not really, but that was another matter entirely. “Just as long as we aren't rushing other things...” she added. It was more for the sake of his reputation than anything else. That and the fact that she wanted to see how invested he was, as strange as it seemed.
One of her hands moved up to touch his cheek when she kissed him, and the other moved from his jacket to wrap around his shoulder, giving herself into the kiss completely. Once again, she was testing her own self-control. How good was she at denying herself what she wanted? Turned out, a lot better than she thought.
She couldn't help but laugh. “Why, so you can hit your head and forget today ever happened?” she told a little macabre joke. “That's probably the only way I'll be able to calm down, too, so I totally understand,” she wet her lips again and slid up to him, stopping short and looking up at him. “It's really hard to keep my hands off of you right now, I can't even lie.”
His joke made her look down at her situation, and she couldn't help but laugh. “You know, I don't know if I can,” she said playfully. “Maybe we should help each other out,” she held her gloved hand out for him. It wasn't clandestine or sneaky at all, but she was tired of denying herself.
