Clearly she was over thinking this. Since when had she turned into that girl? Nick had always prided herself on being more like more of ‘one of the guys’ than a girl at all, so why was she letting one little thing like this shake her normally chill demeanor when it came to her friendship with Jax. She was going to blame silliness and hormones for the way her mind kept racing – if Jax could act chill and like nothing had happened, she could do just that as well.
She felt a little bit like she had succeeded in acting normal, after all she would have made the sock comment before their night of drinking. She returned his grin with one of her own as she slipped her shoes off and shifted on her end of the couch to tuck her legs up underneath herself.
“Toothless is adorable, I approve,” Nick didn’t care if her remark made her sound kind of childish, she kind of adored ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. “And yes, I just said that.” She added with a laugh. Disney movies were ones she actually really enjoyed, partly because they reminded her of a time when the world didn’t suck or it sucked less. “Are you offering that in hopes that I’ll bend on my whole ‘No Megan Fox’ thing and you can watch Transformers and drool over her and her boobs?” She was nothing if not bluntly honest. “You know you could always have the hole patched up,” Nick pointed out. “I’m sure Kori or someone else would do that for you,” she added. “Unless you like holes in your socks, in which case, ignore me.”
