This wouldn't be awkward. Nick was determined to act normal and hang out with Jax. Sure, they had just gotten plastered and made out in a guard tower and then proceeded to not really see much of each other after that, but that didn't mean things had to be weird, right? He was still a friend of her's, and clearly wasn't bothered by that event or else he wouldn't have asked her to watch a movie. Unless he has an ulterior motive? The thought hadn't struck her until just now, but would Jax be the kind of guy to expect some kind of repeat performance? Did she want him to expect that?
Maybe she should have thought about this a little more before replying to his text. But she had agreed to it now and there was no turning back. She was overreacting, plain and simple. Jax just wanted to hang out, nothing more. That's what she kept telling herself as she made her way to the rec room, hoping it would help to make things not awkward. It was times like these that it sucked that she didn't know how to deal with things like this. How were you supposed to act around a friend you had had a make out session with? Maybe this was a question for someone older and wiser, like Rae. She made a mental note to ask about it the next time she saw Rae.
Nick stepped into the rec room, noting that everything was already set up and Jax looked like he had already made himself comfortable. See, he's not acting weird. A little voice in her head quipped at her as she moved over towards the couch. Still, that voice didn't stop her from taking a quick moment to fuss with her hair and tug on the hem of her sweatshirt, both silly girl behaviors, yet she did them anyway. "So what movie are we watching?" She asked as she came around the side of the couch and dropped down onto the end opposite Jax's. "Also, you've got a hole in your sock." Nick wasn't sure why she pointed that last part out, it had just kind of come out after she took note of his shoeless state.
