"Talked about it," Silas agreed, "never remember saying I would." So what if he kept doing it just to see the look on Brandon's face. It was a fucking hilarious face, no one would blame him. "Not like I ain't gonna share. It was just sitting there and the two of you were talking, so..." he shrugged a shoulder and set the bottle back down after he filled a glass for himself. He hadn't had much to add to the conversation, didn't want to get into the discussion on whether or not Regan was bitching. Sometimes it was more fun to sit back and watch the show.
Serious conversation made him twitchy; Rae was the only one lately that had been able to get him to talk, and even that was with a varying degree of success. Maybe he should have made an offer, but it was Regan's thing, Regan's wife, a woman that Silas had never met. It wasn't the same as Mike.
He settled again when Regan seemed to want to move the conversation on, and laughed under his breath. "You're the one that brought it up," he pointed out, another smirk on his face. "Hell, we could sit here not saying anything and I'd be cool." Not that silence ever happened. But he didn't need to talk. Not like they could talk about women or something either; with Soli dead, Lexi gone, and the mixed opinions of Rae that was bound to dissolve into hostility.
"You should do some of it though, just 'cause it was your wife." That didn't count as bringing it up. Even if Leah was more suited to it, Regan shouldn't leave it all to her.
Leaning an elbow on the table, he took a drink of the whiskey and scanned the room, snorting when he caught sight of the two kids at the end of the bar. They looked like they were fourteen at the very most. In a different world there would have been no way they could have even stepped into the Horsemen. "What do you think they'd do if you busted them?" He knew what he would've done if he were in their shoes. But different world order and all that shit.
"Hey, actually, I'll find you another bottle of whiskey if one of you go over there and use your best fucking cop voice to tell 'em to leave."
