Noah loved the gym. Or maybe it was that he loved keeping in shape enough to endure it when the weather was too shitty to run. He hadn't been the sort of man who'd used hair product or gotten his nails trimmed and buffed in the old world, and he still wasn't, but he'd have to admit being vain about keeping his body as well-muscled as he could get it. Being strong was a benefit in the world in which they lived now, anyway.
Grinning at her when she kicked at him, Noah returned the favor, just as half-heartedly, of course. "Yeah, yeah," he replied. He'd known that about Bea for a while, but it amused him to tease her about it. She'd know he didn't mean anything by it.
His smirk turned into a chuckle when she mentioned that the Albrechts weren't patient. "So I have learned," he said. He honestly didn't mind it, because Vienna certainly had qualities that made up for her lack of patience. Noah could be zen about things, himself, but he had his impatient moments as well. When she offered him a smoke, he thought for a few seconds and then replied, "Sure." He was an occasional social smoker, and he'd never been tempted to take it up permanently.
