Perhaps it was just because Miles was feeling particularly sassy that night, but her obvious annoyance amused him just a bit. He could understand perfectly why she was annoyed, of course. He had been searching for solitude himself when he had stumbled across her, and being interrupted while in the zone like that was never any fun. No matter how much he could commiserate, though, he was still unabashedly amused, and he couldn't help grinning.
"Yeah, actually." He replied truthfully, deciding that being blatantly honest would be more fun than making up some cockamamie excuse. "I was looking for something interesting to draw and you delivered, so thanks for that." He waved his sketchbook vaguely in the air for emphasis. She had clearly noticed it, she he didn't see any point in pretending that he hadn't been using her as an unwitting model. "I figured all I'd have to draw was some... archway or something. I've got to admit, figure drawing is a lot more interesting. Especially given that I haven't tried to sketch anything like that since I was in school and they brought in some of the dance majors as models."
"Shame that you stopped, though. Now I have to go looking for something else to draw." He gave an exaggerated sigh, as if exhausted by the very prospect of searching for another subject. "Ah well. I'm sure I'll find something." Despite the fact that this statement should probably have come with a note of finality, it did not, and he made no attempt whatsoever to walk away.
