Aiden laughed softly at the thoroughness of Wren's not-peeking and he unzipped his pack, undid the buckles. Slowly he withdrew a bundle of very soft gray fleece, folded neatly into a military-style bedroll, and in its center, the little stuffed animal he'd found. It wasn't anything too special but he thought Wren would love it anyway, and the first gift was at least practical.
"Alright, roll over," he chided, laughing. "How'm I gonna give it to you if you're all flopped out like a fish?" He grinned, and when Wren complied, he set the bedroll on his lap. "Now this is to keep you warm, and there's something inside for you to keep you safe if you get scared and I'm not right there next to you."
