A deceptively innocent smile came in response to that. It had been a while since she’d met someone who couldn’t see her as a troublemaker. “Means I’m doing a good job at being innocent. That you can’t tell just by looking at me.” Although it could’ve been interpreted as an insult, too. It was a double-edged sword scenario.
“And now he’s paying for it,” she said, laughing as the guy continued to duck flying items and the woman continued screaming at him. “And we’re getting a free show out of it.”
Maddie followed the direction Miah indicated and saw the woman trying to blend in with the crowd. “Ooh, good eye,” she complimented him, honing her attention in on the woman’s expression as she watched the confrontation. “And no, guys aren’t the only ones who like a good catfight now and then. A fight’s always exciting to watch.”
“Good thing I’d rather burn zombies than this place, then.” She pondered her options a little more, then said, “Maybe a stink bomb. Not physically harmful, but still an attention-grabber.” A stink bomb, however, really wasn’t that much better than a Molotov. The smell would probably last a lot longer.
