Right. Even through the drunken haze that was his mind Zach could remember that Leah Stone was in fact pregnant. He still stood behind his statement though; you saw enough death and most people would seek some kind of escape. He was fairly certain that there was at least one other medic who drank, but none of them would dream of coming into the infirmary drunk – that as just crossing a line. “No, I would suppose now isn’t the time for you to be drinking,” He agreed and left it at that. Even intoxicated Zach knew what subjects should and shouldn’t be talked about and as far as he knew Leah hadn’t made her pregnancy public knowledge yet.
He attempted an offended look when she rolled her eyes, a look that kind of missed its mark. Zach could be a flirt while sober, so these comments really were expected. Especially considering his company at the moment. Even if Leah Stone was officially ‘off limits’, he still had eyes and she was still hot. “Might not happen with you, but sources say your sister is single.” Although his source was Maddie, so who knew if his baby sister was up to speed on the availability of Lilah Stone or not.
“Pretty sure there hasn’t been anyone who almost tripped over me,” He pointed out with a faint smirk. At least he didn’t really think Leah had almost tripped over him, he would have noticed that fact, even liquored up a person generally noticed if someone else stumbled over them. “And I think you might be right. Good thing I’m not too concerned about my dignity.” Zach was a man who wasn’t easily embarrassed; it served him well in situations like this. “Also it’s been five times so far tonight that I’ve wound up on my ass.”
If he hadn’t had a fear of tumbling back down to the ground Zach would have taken a bow at Leah’s sarcastic remark. Though she brought up a good point, he was standing, but would he be able to walk? “Walking, right….” He trailed off as he took one slightly unsteady step forward, one hand laid against the wall to brace himself as he moved. “And he walks.” Zach took a couple more steps to make sure that he would in fact stay up on his feet. When he was positive that he would manage to get back to his cell on his own, albeit slowly, he leaned against the wall and glanced back at Leah. “Think I can manage this on my own,” He really didn’t like the idea of being someone else’s problem, after all he had manage to get himself into this situation – which mean it was really his job to get himself out of it as well.
