Surprise registered on George's face. Of the possible answers that wasn't one she'd really weighted too heavily as being possible. She knew too many fad fans, it was just natural to assume other people roughly her age were as well. Obviously, that had been a mistake.
"Aren't you just full of surprises," she said amused that he apologized. People didn't do that much anymore, and she was beginning to think she was one of only a handful of people left in the world with any sense of decency. It made his suggestion of Florence + the Machine almost funny in it's own way. "Sometimes, at least she isn't one hundred percent auto-tune." She really wasn't a fan of the lip-syncing auto-tune crowd. Granted toward the end there it seemed like Lady Gaga had fallen in with them. Her only redeeming quality at that point was that she was a classically trained vocalist.
But he was going to dance for her, much to her perverse delight. She shrugged about the potential beatboxing, she probably wouldn't even know the words, he could break into gibberish and chances were it wouldn't take away from the song. Throughout the entirety of his routine she was careful to keep her expression as neutral as possible. There were a few momentary eyebrow raises, but her face was entirely blank when he finished.
When he finished she waited a moment to see if he would stick the end pose before she started a slow clap. Taking his question as an invitation to do her worst, George opened with a grin as she began her short and scathing review of his dance capabilities. "I think you should leave the dancing to the professionals." She started as stood back up. "I mean what is this?" She demonstrated one of the moves he'd used back to him. "It's like a robot missed his maintenance appointment and thought it'd be fun to disco."
It was a harsh critique, one she expected would likely cause an argument if left without qualification or something to alleviate the slap of it. "On the upside you could easily replace our vocalist. She's basically in need of the auto-tune." Not entirely true, but George wasn't exactly feeling very warm and fuzzy toward Caitie these days. It had the nasty side-effect of coloring her perception out of the teenagers favor quite a bit.
