There was no way to hide the wicked little smile when Noah told her he could be awfully forgetful. Vienna enjoyed this game they would play, the verbal banter back and forth. It was a nice escape from everything else that they both had to deal with. “Might? If you’re as forgetful as you say you are, I imagine there won’t really be a ‘might’ involved.” She pointed out with the same wicked smile still in place.
If distraction did take hold, she would gladly accept that. But only because the distraction would be Noah and she had an awfully hard time resisting him.
“So you lived on a farm and your dad ran a shooting range?” Vienna had to admit they couldn’t be more different if they tried. But the apocalypse was an interesting equalizer. She hadn’t had any idea how to handle a gun or defend herself when everything first fell a part, but she was a quick study and now was fairly handy with her colt pistols, but that was about it. “I know how to handle my set of pistols, but that’s about it,” she answered honestly. “I wouldn’t mind learning how to shoot a rifle, though.” And more time spent with Noah wouldn’t be a bad thing either, not that she actually had to justify the time she did spend with him – but she wouldn’t pass up extra time spent with him, not at all.
Laughing slightly, she nodded her head. “Yes, it would mean that,” she agreed. “And maybe that’s my goal.” Her tone was teasing and the smile on her face was more of a smirk. It wasn’t her goal, but she definitely wasn’t objecting to it, not at all.
