“That would seriously be all kinds of awesome, I mean you would definitely be making a statement.” Although Nick kind of thought Caitie already made a statement with her red hair, so maybe it would just be a bigger statement. “And who else could say they have red and pink hair, right?”
For a moment Nick wasn’t sure if Caite was serious of joking about the blue streaks. She had never before in her life dyed her hair, but the idea was kind of appealing. “Alright, if you want to.” Even if Caitie had been joking, maybe it was time she was a little wild with her hair.
Stopping her slow circle, Nick scrunched up her nose and gave her friend a look. “Ummm, he didn’t even tell you he was leaving,” Okay being logical about this probably wasn’t helping. “So how could you have gone with him? Also as much as it kills me to agree with Maddie, I think she’s right.” she paused for a moment before adding. “I thought about going with my brother also, but then I realize this place is kind of home.”
A pinky swear was totally a silly thought, something she hadn’t done since middle school. But maybe both of them were missing a little bit of silly in their lives. “I think I was in third grade the last time I did this,” Nick commented as she wrapped her pinky around Caitie’s. “Oh, the skates are definitely a must.”
