“I was thinking about putting pink tints in my hair. You know, how when people, like... have brown hair and put blond streaks in it? I figure that since mine's red, I could put pink streaks in it and it'd look just as awesome. Maybe more.” And the one positive about not having any of her siblings here was that no one could tell her not to do it.
As for the fact that blue was Nick's favorite color, Caitie decided to turn it into a joke. “That you should let me put blue streaks in your hair!” A simple resolution, mostly a joke, depending on the answer her friend gave.
Nick more or less vocalized what she was thinking and Caitie sighed and nodded her head. “I know. That's pretty much how I feel about it, but like...” she paused when she reached the end of the rink and turned on her skates to look at the wall of the compound. “Part of me still kinda feels like I should've gone with him. Maddie thinks I was right not to, but...” She shrugged.
Pinky promise? Caitie chuckled and pushed forward on her skates to move toward Nick. Felt a little silly to her, but honestly, what was friendship if not a time to be silly? She held her pinky out and chuckled a little. “It's been eons since I've done this,” she mused. “But okay. Think we should wear skates when we kick their butts?” she joked.
