Aiden laced their fingers and held their palms close, his own engulfing Wren's little one with very little effort. "Ah, sweetheart," he sighed. "I'll come and stay with you if you want me to." He knew that Wren wanted to, that Wren always wanted to, and he didn't mind, but he knew that the day might come when one of those things would have hurt him, would tear them apart again. Or a person, it didn't have to be a zombie.
And then Wren would have to be on his own.
Aiden wrapped his arm around Wren's shoulder, nuzzling his hair again and sighing. "I'll come stay with you as soon as I can. We'll get settled in there and then you'll be able to sleep, right?" He pressed his lips to Wren's temple. "You got to meet people besides me too, bird. Need friends in here. Good people who can keep you safe."
