The window option had long since been discarded. It was a risky gamble to jump two stories. Even more so given that George had only been on crutches a few months earlier. Now if there was a way to know that there was something to catch them below, she might reconsider. Sprains or broken bones really didn't get her all excited. George was sick of proving just how not cut out for zombie interaction she was.
Yet, she was failing to come up with a viable alternative. There was a corner office that could have potentially been a decent hiding place, but one of the large windows was knocked out. Not so useful when it was so easy for the infected to get in. Without other options she glanced back at April and just beyond her to the runners making there way over the catwalks toward them.
"It'll have to do. The supervisors office is out." she responded shifting course to head for the window.
Oh please let this not end in broken bones. she thought as he hands gripped the sill so she could climb up once she got there. As luck would have it there was a small patch of mostly dead grass speckled in snow from the night before below. It would have to do as a landing area.
Without any other thought (because if she thought anymore they would both be in a lot of trouble) George jumped, relying heavily on instinct to land appropriately to minimize injury.
