Glancing each way down the street before moving towards the shop, April just nodded her head in agreement with George as the other girl commented about clothing shopping. “Probably, granted I’m not sure Luke really cares,” or maybe he did. April wasn’t exactly in the know when it came to her brother’s fashion opinions and she wasn’t about to go asking him what he thought about his girlfriend’s wardrobe. That could lead to a conversation April didn’t really want to have, her brother hadn’t always been great with boundaries….or remembering she was in fact not ‘one of the guys.’. “Or maybe he does, I don’t know,” she tacked on, smiling slightly. “So yeah, ten minutes here and then we’ll search out a clothing store for you.”
Hopefully we can find one.
It had crossed her mind more than once that they might not find a suitable clothing store that hadn’t been picked over. But she was keeping that opinion to herself, choosing to be optimistic instead.
April gave one last cautionary glance down the street before finally stepping into the shop behind George, her hand up on the handle of her katana, prepared for any dead thing that might be lurking inside the conveniences store. “What exactly are you looking for here?” She asked quietly, still unsure what her own search was for. The circle of people she needed to get gifts for was small, mostly Luke, EJ, Rae and she thought it was probably good form to get George something, after all she was closest person April had to a friend at Sing Sing and she was dating Luke.
