Jax's reasoning, of course, was completely ridiculous, but luckily they were both at the point of inebriation that it didn't matter. Not so drunk as to not know what they were doing, but drunk enough for inhibitions to have fled. Nick didn't hit him or become angry, so he figured they were on the same page for the moment.
When she asked what now? it made Jax smirk, although he kept his more off-color thoughts to himself. She hadn't been kissed before now, so obviously she didn't have experience with anything else. He was totally fine with just kissing some more. Hey, it would help keep them warm, which was something to consider with the weather like it was.
He was pleased when she answered her own question before he could and pulled him toward her again. "Definitely this," he murmured, fastening his mouth on hers once more. He couldn't think of a better way to spend the rest of the evening, and hopefully it wouldn't make things awkward later. Jax wasn't the sort to worry too much about that kind of thing, anyway.
