It was probably a low blow to have called him desperate like that. But really Nick had eyes and was well aware that there were girls around Sing Sing that were far more attractive than she was, and also a lot more girly. She still wished they weren’t having this conversation, though. This would be the Last. Freaking. Time. She drank enough to go spewing secrets like that, or at least she kind of hoped it would be. “Whatever you say,” she shrugged slightly, not going to argue with him. If he said he wasn’t desperate than he probably wasn’t, so maybe it was more a pity thing, then. After all it was kind of pathetic to be nearly nineteen and never been kissed, right?
Nick just pulled a face and rolled her eyes at Jax’s reply of ‘whatever’. Clearly romance was dead – not that she was actually look for it or anything. Really she wasn’t even angling for him to kiss or anything. If she hadn’t been so lost in her thoughts, or inebriated maybe she would have been able to figure out the path this conversation had been taking. Why is he smiling like that? her brain was taking too long to connect the dots of what the smile, coupled with him moving towards her actually meant.
And then his lips were on hers and she just froze. Her eyes were wide and her mind was trying to catch up with what was happening. It wasn’t bad though, no, actually it was kind of nice. Different than what she actually thought it would be like. But it was a good kind of different. Soon though she was laying a hand on his shoulder and pushing him away slightly. Her expression questioning as she asked. “What did you do that for?”
