“Well, in all fairness some of the reputation of teenagers around here has been earned.” Nick pointed out honestly. Sure it sucked that people misjudged just what she was capable of – though not that many people did that – they still had good reason to distrust the teens, or at least she thought so. “Although in all fairness we might be a generation more prone to acting out, I mean the world did kind of fall apart before many of us could experience the milestones of teenagehood.” The world had kind of gone to hell before many of them had even entered High School, after all.
Clearly Jax wasn’t easily phased and also way more cheerful while drinking than she would have actually expected. She would gladly take happy drunk over violent drunky any day, though, so she wasn’t really complaining or anything.
Nick wasn’t entirely sure what emotion he was going for, it seemed like maybe he was trying to act offended. If that were the case he was kind of failing at it. “Well that answers that,” she replied easily. A part of her relieved that this hadn’t been some kind of ploy to get her drunk. “Really, is that true of the entire male population?” Better to focus on the former part of his comment and not that latter, because if she allowed herself to think about the latter she was going to end up asking questions she would later regret once sober. How did she get herself into this conversation? This would have been an awkward conversation to have with anyone, but with a guy it seemed to amp up the awkward that much more. “No, actually I haven’t,” It wasn’t a lie; it just wasn’t the whole truth either. After all you couldn’t meet awful kissers if you had never kissed before, right? “And now you’ve made making out sound really unappealing, I mean seriously that was a horrible wordpicture,” She wrinkled her nose as she said this. “Was that your goal?”
