WHO: Bea and Vienna
WHEN: December 5th, 2019; early evening
WHERE: Their apartment
WHAT: Decorating their tree
CHALLENGE: AWW! and Less Than 250
RATING: Medium, probs
As far as Christmas traditions went, decorating the tree was th only one, aside from attending The Nutcracker that didn’t have Bea breaking out in hives. She didn’t love it, but mostly because their mother had been a very particular woman who hadn’t wanted her precious ornaments broken; she’d loved spending the time with Vienna though. And hoped that as adults it wouldn’t have a different result. Things were getting better. They’d managed not to bite each other’s heads off during the trip earlier, and they’d even found some Christmas balls for the tree, and some of that sparkly, cheap garland. No fancy crystal ornaments for the Albrecht’s, not any more. “Ada, don’t eat that,” she scolded the puppy, catching her trying to get some of the garland in her mouth. “Wish we could have found a real tree instead,” she directed at Vienna while she tried to slot another of the tree branches into place. Fake trees were a fucking bitch to put together. |
