"Coasting by on good luck. Isn't that what most of us have been doing?" Certainly she had in a way. Sure she had a lot of training before all of this, but it wasn't for things like a world apocalypse. Only a certain few were ever really prepared for this sort of thing. And no, it didn't make the people any less annoying when they didn't take things seriously. Coping mechanism or not, it was a pain. "My ex-husband was a bit like that. Always joking around. It was a mess." The only time he hadn't made a joke was when their daughter had been turned and they had to kill her. Or at least he had to kill her. She'd made him do it.
No, she didn't really want to see the day that happened either. "Yeah, definitely strange," she agreed with a nod of her head. Glancing back at where the swimmers had been, she nodded her head. "Always could have been worse. Well. Thanks for taking me around. Glad to be of use. I should probably get back to my partner. I should be here another day or two if you need anything."
With a small wave, she finished up the rest of the patrol with him and then headed off to go and find Bennett.
