Boring was always better. Of course that meant that they were probably going to either walk alone in silence, or that they were going to have to think up things to say to each other. Still it was better than running for your life and one of them possibly dying. She couldn't imagine what was it was like when a swimmer was spotted in the ocean and then people started to freak out. It was so hard to see at night as it was, and then there was the waves and the noise. It was probably chaos, and one that she was very much hoping to avoid. Though she hadn't really thought about the fact that maybe the ocean prevented them from getting on shore anyway. That put her mind at ease a little, though of course she wasn't going to let down her guard. Not for anything in the world. And not with the water as calm as it was.
For some reason, Lucretia wasn't ready for the winter to come. People moved too slowly when it was winter. As long as no one went diving into the water just to kill a swimmer, she figured that they were fairly safe. She wasn't going to do that, not if her life depended on it. She wasn't that strong of a swimmer to begin with. It wasn't like shooting them in the sea was like shooting fish in a barrel. That was the one place that Lucretia had never been trained to shoot someone. Of course, she was still confident that she could shoot them without much problem. Pier or no pier.
Spotting an actual swimmer, even if it wasn't moving was a little odd. More than a little odd, but it was her first one. She'd never seen one before, not in the water like that. At the mention of his brother though, she finally glanced back over at him. "Really? My brother went missing too, actually. Though I guess that's not really a rare occurrence anymore. And the fact that everyone's dead. I guess comparing a list is pretty pointless."
That was putting it mildly.
"You will be the first to know. I don't draw my weapon unless I'm sure, and I've made sure you know as well." It was just ingrained in her. Make sure that you had a clear shot, and that you were as confident as you possibly could be. She didn't want him to be startled or taken off guard. "Have you ever been to one of the other camps?"
