A shrug of the shoulder indicated that Danny wasn't going to let himself off so easily. Not when he should have been so careful about such emotional topics as families during a time when most people were losing theirs. "It's a topic that should be approached a little more gently these days. I forget sometimes... I mean before all this happened it would be so normal to talk about one's family right? Or ask questions about someone else's family."
He nodded absently when she mentioned being there for each other. It was a nice thought actually. A lot of people might have said forget it, we're not risking our lives for strangers. More and more strangers were turning in to family now and the more live people against those things the better. That made sense. So really, it should have been in everyone's best interests to save one another and keep as many people alive as possible. "I'd like to think the other one's would be there for us if anything happened here. Heaven forbid. I say that like I helped in some way... my brother and Lukas were there. They are much more action oriented than I am," he laughed a little and gave her a bit of a sheepish grin.
He couldn't help but notice that she looked slightly more cheerful and some vain part of him wanted to think that he had something to do with that. Making people happy was sort of like a hobby for Danny. Marga began putting down her things and he smiled as he leaned against the wall to observe, "Make yourself comfortable while you're here by the way. My family is a little much to take sometimes but I promise you that they grow on you eventually."
Danny out right laughed when she mentioned Lukas being one of his siblings. "Lukas? Oh no. Lukas isn't my brother. Just another survivor. He only joined us recently too. Looking for his little brother... I think he said his name was Gabriel. He's nice enough. Like I said he's a bit stand-offish but I think it's mostly a defence mechanism. Like if you don't get close to anyone you can't ever get hurt, you know?" He looked around and noted how the new comers were starting to settle in and how other people in the safe house were trying to comfort them. He maintained that they had some of the kindest people under this roof.
"Evan's an immune. He's out there all the time fighting and scavenging and doing what's needed. He doesn't always come back in one piece but he always comes back. I respect him a lot. I wouldn't be much use out there, but Evan... he's great. He hasn't had the easiest time with this whole... thing. But he's still out there. George. Well her full name is Georgette actually... she's just frustrated with everything. I mean who isn't... she's young, she doesn't understand." He let out a sigh but then smiled back at Marga, "Want me to show you where the rest is? Or if you'd prefer to sit and relax for a moment I'd understand. I would need a whole month to calm my nerves if such a thing were to happen to me."
