Marga mentioned that her parents used to call her Margie and Danny bit his lip a little as he thought about how stupid he'd been. Of course someone had probably called her that. Way to drag up bad memories... he thought with a little sigh. She was nice about it but it was clear that it was a topic she was not fond of. He couldn't really blame her. Many people were sensitive about talking about loved ones and friends who had passed on. Everybody had lost someone. "I'm sorry..." he said softly, after a moment.
They continued walking along and she took in the many people making house on the floor in the large station. He shrugged at her question and looked around, "Maybe a hundred? Doesn't sound like much compared to the other safe houses but we're pretty cozy in here now. I think we'll be able to find a spot for all you new comers though. It'll be a little cozier but... it's not like we would turn anyone away."
He laughed at her comment and shrugged his shoulders, "It's an apocalypse. We do what we can right?" Picking his way through the sleeping bags on the floor he made his way for their corner of space. It was sort of nice being in a corner as they didn't have to worry about neighbours on too many sides. It let him sleep with a certain sense of security having a wall to his back. And Evan, of course. "Good. Evan is going to think I'm taking in all the strays..." he said after a moment with a bit of a grin as his eyes fell on Lukas' things.
He pointed to a spot on the floor and smiled warmly at her, "You can sleep beside Lukas if you like. He's a big, tough guy... sort of stand-offish but I think it's mostly an act," he winked at her and looked around to make sure their things were still here. They were. Grand Central had a surprisingly good group of people and an unspoken ethics code that everyone seemed to adhere pretty well to. "You can leave your things here if you want while I show you the mess and the bathrooms. I promise no one will take anything. Or if they do that we'll find them. Not like there is very far to go in here..."
