Noah had learned some hard lessons about getting attached just lately, and he wasn't planning on doing that again. But it got lonely for him sometimes, and surely he could handle having a friend who was attractive and fun to be with, who fired that spark of physical interest he'd stifled for a while. He was damn sure going to give it a try, anyway.
He closed the door behind her once she'd brushed by him, her body touching his for the briefest of moments. He liked how this was going already, he'd have to admit. "That's because I am confident," he said with a cocky little shrug. Then he paused to look her over, not in a skeezy way but more of an appreciative one. "You've wowed me already, if that counts for anything. Because you look gorgeous." Again, he thought that she bore a similarity to somebody he either knew or had known in the past, but he couldn't place exactly who it was.
"Nope, here they are," he said of the tats that were showing: a complex floral design mixed with a few other elements on one forearm and the stereotypical 'Mom' in a heart and part of his tiger on the other. Waving a hand, he added, "I'd offer to show you around, but here it is. Not much to show, I guess." He was glad that he was on the far end of one of the cellblocks, because he only had a neighbor on one other side, and there was less foot traffic past his cell than there would be if he'd been in the middle. He was all about being grateful for small favors, and he liked his location as well as the fact that he'd been able to come up with the necessary materials to give himself some privacy in his cell. Not that he'd needed it up until now, but that was beside the point.
He pulled back the chair that was at the small desk, gesturing for her to sit, and took a seat on his neatly made-up bunk, which was right next to the desk. One chair, two people? No problem. If it had been warmer, he would have suggested taking the dinner part outside, but they'd freeze their asses off if they tried that tonight. "Did you used to be into fancy stuff like filet of salmon and caviar? We can pretend that's what this is if you want."
