"Seriously?!?!" Bea couldn't help the way her face screwed up at the mention of Noah teaching high school. He definitely didn't look like any high school teacher she'd had. But then, maybe he had changed a lot since then. "I can't fucking see you in a classroom. No offense." She shouldn't stereotype, she knew that, but it was just hard to wrap her head around. He looked more like he belonged in her own crowd than a crowd of high school educators; it was a mindfuck. Or she was tired. It really could be either.
She nodded in agreement. "I don't regret the decision either. Even with some of the fucked up things that have happened, I don't think I'd go back to the city now." Only for Vienna, but she had heard anything from Ty in months, and obviously her sister hadn't shown up here; she would have known.
"That is so true," Bea agreed. "But I'm already starting to do that thing that animal people do, you know, where they talk at their pet like it'll talk back." She laughed, scrunching her nose a little. She'd never understood it before she had a pet, but it seemed like it was one of those things you just felt into. "I'm surprised my neighbors haven't started thinking that I've lost my mind." Granted she was in one of the buildings and not the cell blocks, so it was a little different. The walls were thicker or something, probably.
"But I just moved, so maybe they think it's some sort of tick."
