He was well aware of what crazy meant. Crazy was normal. He'd give anything for a little crazy if he was honest. He nodded as Brandon talked about his family. He was surprised that Leah was pregnant but in a way he was glad that the world hadn't stopped progressing in the midst of all this chaos. It was a sign that life was at least going forward. Thank god. Or some form of higher fate or some shit. He was iffy on god at the moment.
"Alive is the best you can ask for," he said, letting out a breath. When that last question came from the younger man, Kelley nodded. "Yeah," he said. "I'm by myself." He didn't want to go into detail about how that had happened. He didn't like to remember it himself. "Or I was. Not anymore." And that was all that mattered.
