She began absentmindedly tracing the lines, thinking about the concept of scenery, seemingly oblivious to the fact that Evan was still watching her. On some level she knew, of course, but she wasn't sure what else to say, and she was pretty sure that simply looking back at him would somehow be more awkward than saying nothing.
Still, Eloise did look at him after a moment. She held his gaze with light, amused eyes, though her mouth seemed to have fallen into a solemn line that had nothing to do with how she felt. "Do you always draw based on things that come up in your life? Conversations? People?"
