Let's pretend that first sentence wasn't a typo on my part. O_o
"At least thieving's a more useful skill than sitting there critiquing something you have no stinking clue about," Caitie said with annoyance, not realizing that she'd admitted to being a thief again. She couldn't even say that it had been awhile since she'd stolen anything, which was the worst part of all of this.
Smiling smugly when she noticed that she'd gotten to the mean old witch, Caitie put a hand on her hip. Yeah, that's right, she thought. Caitie didn't even remember how she'd heard the nickname. Probably some sarcastic comment from George or something when she'd been mad at Leah. Either way, she knew it and she'd taken Leah off guard with it.
Caitie's now-freed hand clasped over the necklace. "I didn't break into anyone's apartment!" Another bold faced lie. If she admitted it, she'd probably take Maddie and Boy Stone down with her. Boy Stone she didn't care about, but Maddie was another story. "Besides, if it is your boyfriend's, why the heck does he need a necklace? Fancy French crossdressing? Is that a kink of yours?" she asked sarcastically.
