"You're just jealous because you couldn't sing to save your miserable life," she snapped, rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulder. If there was one thing Caitie knew she was good at, it was singing, and she never let anyone tell her she wasn't.
Whether it bothered the old hag or not didn't matter. Caitie had said her piece, and she allowed herself a small, triumphant smile as she started her retreat. But before she got too far, she felt the hand clasp her wrist and turned to stare at Leah incredulously. "Let go of me!" she said, jerking her wrist out of the woman's grasp. "Crazy old lady!"
Of course, Caitie was well aware of what Leah was looking at, but she wasn't just going to come out and say that she'd stolen the jewelery. She arched an eyebrow like Leah was crazy and made a face. "Get what? I've had this iPod for like six years, if that's what you mean," she said, more than a little bit annoyed at this whole situation.
