Smiling slightly, Nick shrugged. “I guess that’s true. Still, I have a hard time being as positive as you or Rae, though she’s been rubbing off on me and if you ask her I’m sunnier than I think,” those were Rae’s words, not hers. “I’d love to think things will get better, but maybe I’m too much of a realist in that I kind of don’t think they will.” So maybe she was a bit of a pessimist when it came to the world recovering from this. Kori had a point though in that positive thoughts were probably better than negative thoughts.
“I think we should,” if nothing else it would give everyone something to look forward too, which in this place was important. Having something to look forward too kept people going sometimes.
Nick laughed. “Yeah, we might be getting ahead of ourselves here,” they needed to make it through Halloween first. “So we’ll make it through the most fantastic Halloween party ever and than we’ll look towards the next holiday.” If nothing else this gave Nick something to look forward too, even if nobody else got on board with all the parties she and Kori were talking about throwing.
