"It is sort of obvious now that I think of it," she said, nodding a little. The kids needed fun and how better to have fun than a party? "Definitely. A few hours of fun and they can forget about everything else, at least for a little while. I think we'd all like that, honestly." She certainly would. Everyone she knew of would likely be happy to have a few hours where they could pretend they didn't live in an abandoned prison and like the world wasn't falling down around them.
Kori nodded a little, a small smile on her lips at the thoughts of Mike rolling through her head. "I just figure that if we've survived through that mess, then there has to be something permanent about us. End of the world as we knew it or otherwise." She couldn't imagine her life without Mike in it and she didn't want to ever relive the part of her life that he'd been absent from. "It's nice to have someone to care about like that," she said, nodding a little to herself. "I hope you'll find someone that makes you feel the way he makes me feel. Even if the world is a pretty shitty place at the moment."
"Sounds good," she smiled. "I can't wait to get everything rolling. We can take a couple of days to see who's content with doing what and then we can get started on preparations. We've got a month so we should be able to throw together a pretty fancy shindig if we get to work soon," she murmured.
"Rae's awesome as far as cooking goes and I hope she does offer." She didn't want to put too much stress on the girl but she certainly wouldn't deny her if she was going to offer her cooking services. "I'm excited too. An escape is definitely something I'd welcome any time of year. And who knows, if it goes well, maybe we can try and throw together a party of some sort for Christmas when it rolls around too." Perhaps too far ahead to think about now, but it was nice to have long term goals.
