Smiling slightly, Nick nodded. "In that case I won't say anything about you offering until you make it public knowledge yourself," she'd hate to be the reason Kori got bombarded with costume orders after all. "Especially with all this talk about people going missing," the words were out of her mouth before she could stop them and she knew her concern about it was evident in her tone. She wasn't going to talk about being scared about it, she hadn't even said anything to Gavin about her fears, so she wasn't going to tell a near stranger about them. "Not sure I'd be much help with the costumes, but I'd be willing to do what I could if you need it," hopefully Kori would focus on what she had just said and not on her earlier comment on the missing people. "I will want something, just not sure what that something is yet," her expression was amused as she spoke. Here she was planning a Halloween party and she had no idea what she wanted to dress up as for the holiday.
"I think we could definitely ask Rae," she didn't think the older girl would object to helping out. "And it probably wouldn't hurt to ask your family and whoever Mike is," Nick was still learning names around this place and she was half certain she had yet to interact with anyone named 'Mike'. "You posting it would probably go over better, I'm not sure many of the adults would take me seriously," she rolled her eyes at the last part. She wasn't complaining, just stating what she kind of thought was fact. "But opinions would definitely be good."
Nodding her head at Kori's answer, it made sense really that there wouldn't be an exact number of kids. "Okay, so I'll maybe leave you in charge of estimating the numbers since you work with the kids more than I do," which really most everyone probably dealt with the kids more than she did. It wasn't that she didn't like kids, she just didn't have much experience with them. "That was kind of my thought on it as well. Have trick or treating and than do a short party afterwards and watch 'em so that their parents can have a couple hours to enjoy the holiday as well." Nick wondered though if it would keep the parents from worrying about them. If she had a kid, which was so not happening anytime soon - or ever really - she kind of thought worry would be a constant.
"Agreed, I think a post is the best way to go with this. It'll get the information out there to everyone a lot faster than any other way really, because it's not like we can do flyers or anything." She thought that was just another thing that had changed with this world, wasn't like they could go to Kinko's or something and have flyer made up to advertise this. "Yeah, not really much point in planning out every little detail until we know what kind of volunteer support we'll have for it, and hopefully people will be willing to help since it's for the kids and there will be something in it for them by way of a couple of hours of kid-free time in the evening." Not that Nick really knew what it meant to get some free time from kids, but Kori seemed to think it would be a good selling point for them to gain support.
