Kori nodded, smiling a little at the question. "Yeah," she said. "I figured I'd tell people about it soon and see how much interest there is. Everyone could use a little morale boosting and why not do it this way? There's plenty of material and things like that. I'm sure that it'll be fun to use a little creativity and see what I can throw together with a little help here and there." It wouldn't be all that hard, she was sure. She had a month to go and not everyone would want to participate so it wouldn't be all that difficult to come up with some costumes for the ones that were interested. "So if you want one just let me know what you'd like to be and I'll get everything set up," she grinned.
"Oh definitely," she agreed. "More ideas. And as for people I'd ask, maybe Rae, my family, Mike," she murmured, grinning as she said his name. Yeah, she was still on a goofy sort of high because of Mike being wonderful and hers. Happiness was amazing after all. "Maybe I'll put a post up and ask everyone's opinions. Can't hurt to get as much feedback as possible."
She thought for a moment about how many kids there were at Sing Sing at the moment. "It's always changing," she admitted. "Several. I can just roughly estimate that though. Plan for a few more than there are and have extra supplies if need be. Which we need to think on too. If we do trick or treating then we can bring the kids to the daycare and maybe have a little mini party. Get the kids back and into bed at a decent hour and maybe the grown-ups can have a party afterwards. Have a couple volunteers to help out with the kids for the night so the adults don't have to worry about them all evening?" She knew that would likely be a winner for a lot of the parents. A worry free night.
"I think maybe a post is the best way to go. We can ask everyone, see who's interested and then go from there. Once we know who's on board we can start laying the foundation and working more on planning things out. I'm sure most people will be willing to give up a little bit of Halloween to make the kids happy. Especially if we go with the grown-up party idea for afterwards. Give up some time and get a kid free party after? Sounds like a good negotiation to me. They definitely need distraction. All of them, kids and adults alike."
