Maybe it was horrible that Nick kind of always expected the adults around this place to just roll their eyes and tolerate her. Well, most of the adults. Rae genuinely seemed to want to spend time with her, so did Charlie for that matter. Still a bigger portion of them seemed to write her off before they even spoke with her and it all had to do with her age. Which was exactly why she had asked about whether she was interrupting Kori or not. "Are you taking requests for costumes as well?" She still didn't have any idea what it was she would want to be, but if Kori was taking requests than at least she'd know who to go to when she did figure that out.
Her guard went up for just a moment when Kori laughed. Soon though she was relaxing again when she realized that the older girl hadn't really been laughing at her. "Two heads are better than one, right?" Or at least that's what people said, so there had to be some kind of truth to it. "Who would you seek input from?" Nick knew she could likely ask Rae for input, but she wasn't exactly sure who else she would turn to. "And how many kids are here at Sing Sing right now?" Having a number to work off of would be good she thought.
"Of course not, I mean we can't force people to participate if they don't want to," although Nick kind of hoped people would want to take part in this. Not for her sake, but for the kids' sake. "Honestly, I wouldn't even really know who to ask. You've been here longer, do you have any thoughts on who might be willing to give up a portion of their Halloween to this?" Fun was something that didn't happen around her all that much, but Halloween was supposed to be fun. "I agree, I mean things get so serious around here that sometimes it's nice to have a distraction, y'know?"
