Her nerves were still kind of pinging as she came to stand near Kori’s sewing area. Nick still wasn’t even sure she knew exactly what she was getting herself into, but there wasn’t really any backing out of it now and really if roles were reversed and she was one of the kids she would want the adults to do something like this for her. Every little bit of normalcy benefited them and it some ways she thought it might benefit others as well, if she could get them to participate in the ‘trick-or-treat’ portion of the night she wanted to plan. “I’m not interrupting you am I? It looks like you were still working on something,” Nick motioned towards the white outfit Kori had been working on. “Are you making costumes?”
That sparked a thought in her brain, and idea that maybe she could dress up for this whole thing. But what would she dress up as? Nick shook her head to clear her mind as that was a thought for another day. Smiling slightly, her nerves seemed to calm as Kori really did seem like she was on board with this and willing to work with her. “Y’know I wouldn’t have thought to write everything down in a notebook,” she commented as she went to grab the pen and notebook for Kori. “Which is probably why I’m getting your help right now,” she added with a laugh.
Chewing on her lower lip for a moment, Nick tried to figure out which thing she should bring up first. Probably the trick-or-treating thing as that would be the most work, or at least it seemed like it might be – after all they’d have to get people on board with it. “Well, this might be an insane idea, but I thought maybe we could get people to hang out in their rooms or cells and have the kids go trick-or-treating to kick off the night before they came to the party,” she paused as she shifted to pull herself up onto an empty work area to sit. “Do you think people would do that?”
