Marigold seemed amazed by all the new information, especially with how tall the bear actually was when it was standing up. Leah had known herself how tall the bear was, but hearing that comparison made her a little more wary of letting her daughter play with an animal that size, no matter how gentle it was.
Marigold shook her head. “Nuh-uh, her’s not a monster. I’ma tell Billy him is dumb.”
Leah glanced at David. “I’m assuming Billy’s the kid who told her the bear was a monster,” she said, trying to clarify.
The little girl seemed to like the idea of coming to visit the bear again. She nodded, patting Mochrie’s head when David lifted her up. “Mmhmm. Can her come play with my toys?”
