Re: Bennett & Lucretia
In return, she batted her eyes at him and gave him the most innocent look that she could possibly muster. "Enjoy it more? What ever could you be talking about? I wouldn't enjoy spanking. That's a bad bad thing. I couldn't possible," she said dramatically, and tried really hard not to laugh.
Perhaps that was just their relationship. They could have this odd thing where they talked about zombies one minute, and love the next minute. It was fine with her. "Hmm. Well I guess that's the wrench in my theory, isn't it? I mean besides that the water in the ocean doesn't actually freeze except once in a great while on top. Salt water's really hard to freeze. But maybe they don't. Maybe the virus prevents it." Or whatever it was.
No, Lucretia never had any doubts about him loving her. It was just a little odd to hear him say it. Really nice, but odd. How could she not take it well? She'd have to be heartless to be angry at him saying that. And she didn't think she was all that heartless.
Eventually she had to move back, for fear of moving her lips any closer to his. Her cheek nuzzled into his hand and she sighed. "That's good to know, because you're never getting rid of me either. We're stuck to each other. Like glue." Slowly she slid her arms around his waist and hugged him as tightly as she could possibly manage. Her head rested against his chest, and Lucy sighed again.
