“Stuff you were saving for me?” Eyebrows raised, Maddie watched her feet as they crunched over a patch of dead grass. She didn’t want to read too much into that; maybe he stashed things away for all his friends. “I don’t really know her. She seems a little stuck up to me. Plus she’s friends with Pregzilla.”
A loud bark of laughter came when Brandon explained that he’d had to give the Drugs Are Bad speech to students back in the day. “Probably the only time those kids paid attention in class was when you were there.”
“Nope. No problem. Just means I’ll have a fun challenge on my hands.” She looked at him deviously. “Getting you to believe one of my lies.”
Maddie shrugged her shoulders and nodded. “True. I still prefer not playing that game around assy guards who bang anything that moves.”
The reactions were already coming in and it was already impossible to keep a straight face. Maddie crossed her arms over her chest and cupped her hand over her mouth to stifle some of her laughter. “Peeeeeenis.” She drew out the word this time, a little louder. A small group of preteens walking by heard and started giggling.
