Maddie probably didn't realize that Brandon had his own list of people who didn't like him. And that it was near as long, if not longer, than her own list. His personality got on a lot of people's nerves, but it was just as well, because for the most part, Brandon didn't like any of the people who didn't like him. "That's only if they haven't used it all at mine first," he told her with a little smirk, reminding her that she wasn't the only hated person around these parts.
Watch people shoot shit. Brandon shook his head no. "You know when there's something you like to do so much that it sucks when you have to watch someone else do it and you can't?" He shrugged. "That's kinda like what shooting is for me right now. My favorite thing to do and I can't. So it sucks."
Snorting a laugh, Brandon shrugged. "Sorry. Figured I'd share in the misery, since things like that are best not suffered alone." He paused and arched an eyebrow. "Maybe I'm dumb, but I'm not getting what you're saying."
For his part, Brandon didn't always like being alone. A little solitude on the guard tower wasn't so bad, but even then, he had his radio and could converse easily with the rest of the security team or whoever else. And he usually texted Silas or Leah for company. But everyone was doing their own thing and he wasn't able to join in. "You'd better meet my entertainment expectations," he joked.
"I know," he gave her a wry grin. "My partner in crime." Or his female one, anyway. Silas and Mike already pretty solidly held the title of partner in crime.
