"Are there a lot of kids here?" She asked. She might not like admitting that she was, in fact, still a kid, but it was still a fact nonetheless.
She shook her head and laughed when he offered to paint over the cane. "Won't have as much of a significance if it's not pink. Then it'd just be a boring old cane.
Alright, so she didn't categorize Silas as creepy. He had taken the time to leave her bedside, which also meant that she hadn't been bleeding a whole lot while she was out. People had a tendency to worry more about people --especially people of smaller builds-- when they were bleeding profusely.
"How'd you break your leg? And wouldn't they have had you on crutches? Or did they not have any crutches?" It struck her as odd that someone wouldn't be up and moving fairly quick after a broken bone. She recalled her dad having knee surgery and still being up and moving in short bursts shortly afterward.
