WHO: Wren and O'Brien
WHERE: Infirmary
WHEN: August 26th, afternoon
WHAT: Wren brings O'B cookies and hugs
RATING: Low
STATUS: Incomplete
Since the culmination of the murder spree and Lily's death, Wren had spent a considerable amount of time in the infirmary. Not only because she was worried but because the thought of going back to the library actually kind of scared her. The idea that she had been so close to the person who had killed so many residents of Sing Sing and had even chatted casually with her, was terrifying. Wren knew it wasn't her fault, there was no way she could have known but the man who had died in her arms was still a haunting image. She didn't want to be anywhere Lily had been, at least not for a while because it was too hard. The memory and the pain were still too fresh.
After her old room had been vandalized, Wren had moved. She stayed briefly with Rae but made a point to find herself a new place, which was much closer to the infirmary. This had it's pluses and minuses, of course. Being closer meant she worked more but it also meant that if Wren was too tired, it was easier for her to slip away and take nap when needed. Wren had just been getting up from one of these naps when her stomach growled. While working, weather it was with patients or just paperwork, Wren almost always forgot to eat. Despite how much she wanted to rush back to infirmary and harass whatever patients were there, Wren decided food was slightly more important for her at the moment.
After eating quickly Wren made her way back to the infirmary but not before picking something up for O'Brien. She wouldn't admit it freely, but the main reason Wren hovered around the infirmary was because of O'Brien. Although he wasn't someone she had known for long, Wren had felt the arrival of a very injured O'Brien deeply.
Wren approached his bed quietly, knocking on the side table to announce her presence. "O'Brien, are you awake?" she asked softly. It was disheartening to know his eyesight had been lost but if Wren had anything to say about it, it wouldn't be permanent. No matter how impossible it might seem, she refused to give up hope that something could be done about it.
