It was in his face, and the tired immune didn't see it at first. Though he doubted the man meant to stand out, he did. Even if the cafeteria was hustling and bustling with people, the stranger would have stood out. Caleb doubted there were many priests roaming around Sing Sing. If there were, he had missed them and that was a trait Caleb didn't possess. He was always looking, eyes trying to remember everyone he had encountered. It seemed like a hard task, but with sharp senses and a good memory, it wasn't impossible. Usually he went to locations where the same faces visited.
He had never really encountered a priest. The only ones he set eyes upon were those who played the role. Most who knew nothing about religion and just relished being in front of the camera. Having an opportunity to sit across an actual man of religion interested Caleb.
He sat down and glanced at his rippling reflection. There was silence, almost as if Caleb didn't want to share. Eventually. He looked up and managed to grin just a little, the gesture alone tiring. "Yes. It has been this way for a long time," he confessed. He hadn't really opened up about it to anyone. But then again he didn't have many people to talk to.
"How about you? Trouble sleeping or are you just one of those early birds?" he inquired.
