George snorted, not that he probably intended it to be funny but she didn't usually think of them in such cliche terms. They just complimented each other; tempered the worst of the other. They were just good for each other which Evan liked to point out whenever something weird happened between her and Luke.
Her amusement only lasted a fraction of what it could have when she glanced up at him. Her expression turning concerned at his tone and empty expression that seemed to come back almost immediately whenever she managed to make things a little easier. She definitely hadn't intended her words to make things worse, but now it was too late to take them back, no matter how sincere they were.
She shook her head at him, "That's secondary." And it was, dislike or no her feelings toward his uncle were less important right now. Usually she tried to just put them elsewhere when with him anyway, but she had a feeling that wasn't exactly going to be how she could do things in the days to come. Not when so much of what was bothering him was tied directly to the well-being of O'Brien. She'd just have to deal and try to keep herself as neutral as possible.
"He's important to you. I can meet you wherever you want and I'll listen to anything you have to say. It's not good to keep things in, remember what happened to Evan when he did that?" She tried to make her tone lighter toward the end, "I don't want you to go and give yourself a panic attack too." If that happened she didn't know what she'd do, at least not beyond her likely freak out that the people in her life seemed to be unable to keep themselves from snapping mentally.
