shortened a little so the game can flow a little easier and cause im brain ded.
Laney wasn't one of those girls who got pissy for things beyond her control. Whether or not Ollie was honest with her was none of her damn business, and she accepted it with not but a grain of salt. It was easy for her to let things go if only because she didn't want any kind of emotional attachment. To anyone. And she understood why some people might not want to have one with her. If she couldn't have Ben, then she didn't want anybody else and she assumed that it was the same with others. Ollie was nice, and she was thus far enjoying his company, but they weren't going to go frolicking in the woods later, or make some sort of blood pact or anything. He'd prove useful to her with his connection to the puppeteers, if you will, and he seemed pretty skillful as a looter. But other than that, they were still strangers. And honestly, Laney preferred it that way, despite her offering the idea to play a get-to-know-you game. Call it a momentary lapse of judgment on her part, but when she was having fun, she tended not to think things through as much. Another reason why she needed to remain as distant from Ollie as possible. He had the potential to make her reckless.
"Did some time, huh?" She smirked. He'd said it, so she had to comment now. And comment she would. "Colorful past? Were you a male prostitute or something, specializing in public sex?" She chuckled to herself and put one of her fingers down. She had, in fact, had sex in the back of a car. And in the front of one too. "Do I have to drink for every time? Or just once?" She eyed him for his verdict and then tossed one back anyways. She knew she'd have to drink at least one time, and now it was out of the way. "And yeah, Rae's tough," she added as an afterthought, as she waited for his answer. And that was that as far as her feelings on Rae went-- that she would voice out loud, anyways. She chose to ignore his comments on Allie altogether.
