Caitie laughed at Maddie's impersonation of a marionette. "If I was a puppet, I'd want someone to cut my strings. Maybe it'd be like one of those Disney movies where you'd come to life when the human left the room or something. Toy Story and Cars and whatever..." She'd always liked those movies. "Except knowing my luck, I would end up being a hand puppet. Which, no. Gross." She made a face and shook her head emphatically. "Wonder how a hand puppet would walk in a movie like that."
Though she wasn't as familiar with the movie projector guy as Maddie was, if Maddie thought he was cool, Caitie did too. "He seems pretty funny to me. Like a nice guy. One of the nicer older people around here." She wondered if he actually would help them, since he was part of the security team and everything. But if he would, all the better. They'd have someone on the inside, on their side. That was more than okay with Caitie. "We should bug him about a movie night on that projector thing. Show some good movies."
Over time, Caitie had gotten really good at evading security cameras (and security people). Being small allowed her to move quicker and duck into corners that bigger people couldn't. And fit in and under things that most others couldn't too. But evading cameras was that much simpler. Her brother had kind of taught her geometry, and she remembered enough to know the paths the cameras moved in and when it was safe to run under them and when it wasn't. As such, she held her hand out for Maddie to wait about two seconds while the camera stopped and started its path to turn the other way. "Okay, let's go," she said.
"Psh!" Caitie scoffed. "I so can. I may be small but I can totally throw..." And to prove her point, she took aim and tossed the bottle toward the basket.
And missed.
SPLAT. The top came off and shampoo splashed onto the floor. "Or not..." she scoffed, then took the bandana off her head and made her way over to quickly wipe it up while the camera was turned the other way. "Go... I'll catch up!"
